From invitations to music and food to activities, we know exactly what your guests want so all you need to do is fill up your cup and enjoy the day!
If you’re throwing your own party, take some of our favorite tips and ideas to have a memorable Labor Day get together!
Throw A Clambake
What better way to celebrate the end of summer than with a medley of fresh seafood? An authentic clambake is an easy crowd-pleaser, and is a classic Labor Day Weekend meal. Grab the melted butter, boiled potatoes, fresh Jersey corn, and Old Bay and give your guests the seafood feast they really want!
Plan An All-White Clothes Theme
If you’re following conventional fashion rules, Labor Day is the last day of the year to wear white. Let your guests know to wear all white to send the summer off the right way. Everyone will look great in photos and it’ll be a great conversation starter. Just a tip–if you go this route, try to avoid serving drinks that might stain, such as red wine or sangria.
Host A Garden Cocktail Party
Looking to get fancy with it? Try a garden party! Encourage your guests to come dressed in their Sunday best, and offer a variety of drinks like mules, martinis, cosmos, and whatever else you know your guests like to drink. Prepare some passed hor d’oeuvres to keep everyone’s stomachs full. If you want to get really fancy, hire a band to play!
Host A Game Night
Looking for a more casual atmosphere? Host a game night! If the weather is right, nothing is more fun than an outdoor party with backyard and board games for all of your guests to participate in, and you can even hand out prizes for the big winners.
Screen An Outdoor Movie
Gather everyone around an inflatable screen outside and have a showing of your favorite movie! If your party is going all day, what better way to cap the night and the summer off than with some popcorn, candy, and a great movie with all of your close friends? Inflatable screens and projectors are surprisingly affordable, and it’s a unique twist to a Labor Day Weekend party!
