The first day of spring is fast approaching which means spring break is just around the corner too! Don’t let your household chores hold you back from missing out on so many of the things there are to do here at the Jersey Shore.

Here are some of our top picks of things to do this Spring and Summer.

  1. Amusement park tickets. There are typically many sales each spring on amusement park tickets that can save you quite a bit of money if you and/or your family like the rides and thrills that amusement parks have to offer. Available offers often include buy two for the price of one, buy one get one 50% off, family “fun pack” deals and more. You can score a huge savings for a weekend or vacation of play with the family by taking advantage of these offers. Here are a few websites offering Spring/Easter deals:

  2. One of the most popular things to do here at the Jersey Shore during the summer is to visit our beaches! Beach badges are on sale now with some townships offering early bird pricing. Prices range from $20.00 – 150.00 for seasonal badges. Daily badges are available as well for $6.00 and up. So…pack a lunch, or enjoy the boardwalk foods for a beautiful day at any of the Jersey Shore beaches.Note: although a comprehensive list for of beach badge prices for 2019 has not yet been published, here’s a link to a list from 2018 that should provide some rough estimates on pricing for this year:
  3. The Jersey Shore also has some fabulous restaurants and entertainment. To find some fabulous food and entertainment while enjoying your time at the Jersey shore check out this link:
  4. One of our personal favorite things to do during the summer is to spend the day at Avon beach. The homes that lead up to this family friendly beach offer pristine curb appeal which makes the walk back to your car after spending the day at the beach very pleasant. Too tired to walk to your car after a long, lazy day in the sun? No worries! You can get free transportation here from Coastline Shuttles:
  5. Although bike and walking/running paths are typically opened year-round, it is especially great during the months of April – November. Here are some terrific trails to go on. While some are more challenging, there are others that are more scenic and offer breathtaking views of nature.
  6. Canoe/kayak/paddle boarding/boat rentals are a perfect way to see so much of what the Jersey Shore has to offer while also keeping cool during the late spring and summer months. A refreshing dip while riding the rivers, reservoirs, and oceans can be very welcoming. And, although the water is still a bit chilly in April and early May, the sun can get hot so a quick dip even then can be great. If kayaking happens to be your thing, here’s a great link of some areas you may enjoy:
  7. New Jersey offers a variety of great stage shows in some of the most beautiful theaters around. Whether you are at the Spring Lake Community House, Algonquin Arts Theatre or attending a show at the Count Basie Center for the Arts, you will be in awe not only of the shows on stage but the towns themselves and what they have to offer all year long. Here are some links to our favorite theaters:
